Terms of Service

1. The service

BALMAS AI turns sensitive documents into AI-safe copies: identifiers such as names, ID numbers, phone numbers and company names are detected and replaced with consistent tokens or synthetic values. Document processing runs in your browser — your document content is not uploaded to our servers.

2. Your account

Creating an account requires accurate details: your full name, the organization you work at, and a verified email address (phone is optional). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Seats on team plans are personal and may not be shared.

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

The free plan includes a monthly document quota. Paid plans are billed as a monthly recurring charge through Sumit (OfficeGuy); prices are in ILS and include VAT. Your card details are sent directly from your browser to Sumit and never touch our servers.

You can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and the plan then drops to FREE. Switching plans cancels the existing standing order and starts a new one. Workshop or coupon codes grant the stated plan for the stated period and may be limited in number.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service only lawfully and only on documents you are permitted to process. You are responsible for complying with your organization's policies, including its rules on classified or restricted material. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe its security, or resell it without our written consent.

5. Your documents and your review

Your documents remain yours. Because processing is automated, detection may miss items or flag extra ones — that is why the service shows you every finding before the clean copy is created. You are responsible for reviewing the output before sharing it with any AI tool or third party; BALMAS is a safety layer, not a substitute for your judgment.

6. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that automated detection will identify every sensitive item in every document.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including damages arising from content you chose to share with third-party AI tools.

8. Intellectual property

The service, its software, design and the BALMAS brand are ours. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under your plan.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the service; material changes will be posted on the site with an updated date. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: support@balmasai.com.
